The Royal Rangers Boys Ministries is presently organized into three groups, each with a commander and curriculum. The first group is called Ranger Kids which includes boys in grade K-2. The Commander is Ron Massey. The second group is called Discovery Rangers and includes boys in grades 3-5. The Commander is Phil Marhold. The third group is called Adventure Rangers and includes boys in grades 6-8. The Commander is Tim Hill. Phil also serves as the Senior Commander of our outpost #154 .
EVENTS
The Ranger calendar begins with the first day of clubs on Thursday, August 20th, 2009. Club begins at 6:30PM and continues until 8 PM. Special activities are planned each month ranging from a campout to water events to training events. A calendar can be obtained by asking Commander Phil Marhold.
Ranger Summer Camp was held on June 9-12 at Camp Wilderness in Waupaca. The boys typically have a great time in the outdoor setting. It is the highlight of the year. Additional information can be obtained at the website www.wnmdrangers.org and then click on "events" and then "summer camp."
Family Camp for Ranger Kids and their families was held on July 24-26 also at Camp Wilderness. This is designed for younger boys.
Royal Rangers is an activity-based outdoor program seeking to develop the total boy for Christ according to Christ's example (Luke 2:52). Royal Rangers provides boys and young men the opportunity to discover and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, while learning teamwork, leadership, and a variety of outdoor skills. An individual's progress may be represented by his progress along a structured advancement program where recognition is given for his progress toward each advancement level.
